New dilemma, advice please

Asscher is my favorite cut of diamond but I am realizing with a 7.25-7.5 size finger that even a 2.25 ct asscher looks meh...doesn't have enough finger coverage for its size and carat price tag. Would an emerald be better for my larger finger size?

Yes, an EC typically has more spread than an asscher, but still less spread than a round, oval or pear. One of the downsides. You may want to consider side stones for more ummpph.
For reference, my EC in my avatar is a RHR and 1.52 cts on 7.75 size middle finger. The side stones are 6x4 each.

And I should add that there is importance to the depth of an EC or Asscher. My EC is 64% depth, which helps with spread.
