Hi there, following on from my previous posts and i have now collected my nice new ring from abazias, stone show here and ive looked for a black crystal and cant see one yet, but i havent looked with a loupe yet but what i can see is like a tiny bubble in the girdle but not face up and this tiny bubble takes on what ever colour its in frount of as initially it looked black which did scare me but then against the sky it looked blue, i have looked at this stone over white paper at every angle and cannot see anything black or any other colour, and i wondering is this normal for a vs1 inclusion? Or does anyone know more about what im refering to?

I think a visible black inclusion in a VS1 would be pretty unlikely. What makes you think it should be black? There are many colorless inclusions such as crystals.

Hmmm, could it be a girdle reflection??

It was suggested in this thread that it might be black, it does state in the gia cert that the only inclusion is one crystal and i take it thats what im seeing but against the sky or white paper the stone has no black at all, but what looks like a tiny bubble is in the same place regardless of light is this the norm for a crystal inclusion?

Thanks for your replies

I''m no expert on inclusions, but a colorless crystal is what it sounds like to me!

Thank you a colourless one sounds better than a black crystal to me, i will post piccies of it when i get back home to the uk
