New camera, new green tourmaline RHR

I''ve got this green tourmaline from Barbara back in Oct. It''s now set in a 18k white gold temp ring. Someday I''ll have it set in a setting like velouriaL''s ring.

Oooooh, gorgeous color!!! It''s stunning. I love the shape of the cut too. It looks great as is, but it would look awesome in a vera wang albicocca style mounting as well. Valeria''s is nice as well. Either way, it''s beautiful the way it is now as well.

that stone is to die for. The color and clarity (I am not sure what a colored stone should look like in terms of clarity) but it sure is stunning!

speakinglurker, I never post my stone when it was loose. Here''s some specs of my stone. It is a 1.79ct 6.6 x 7.5 mm victoria cushion tourmaline from Barbara at actones.com. It was cut by Barry Bridgestock. Barbara said Barry is a perfectionist and she is right. This tourmaline is extremely well cut. It throws off tons of bright green flashes. Here are a few pictures of it before set.

diamondfan, I''ve read somewhere that green tourmalines are relatively clean compare to other color tourmalines. My stone was described as "flawless at 10x".
