Hi all,
Hope it's ok to post a MMD in SMTB, but wanted to share my new piece with the broader forum.

Jon recently created this new asscher cut, and I got the first one :)

Had him set it in a setting I own with NSEW prongs, and i love it!

Ps. Original thread here https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/introducing-my-dream-asscher-distinctive-gems.266787/. Prongs came out the wrong color so between that thread and now they've been fixed to be white gold :)

Stunning!

This came out so great and I know you were excited about this project. It looks wonderful on your hand!

@lovedogs ouuuuuu, so so gorgeous! I am so glad you shared more pictures and videos- it makes me smile thinking how much you are smiling! It's a diamond fireball! YAY!! So happy for you- it was worth the wait!

PS- I absolutely love how perfect it looks on your hand!

It's stunning @lovedogs. The diamond is exquisite and the setting is perfect. Enjoy!

Also for the sake of full disclosure and bc I think it's important for buyers to have all the info before buying, I do want to say one slightly negative thing.

Because of how the stone is cut (aka a combo of traditional "steps" in the center and sharper angles similar to the octavia on the outside), there can be almost a "black out" effect in the 2nd/3rd step in some lights. Usually this is in indoor lighting at specific angles when the steps are reflecting black from my head blocking the light source (I think).

I talked to @Dr_Diesel (aka amazing king of asschers) yesterday and today, and he told me something that really resonated. He noted that the stone I got is optimized for brightness (and omg it is so dang bright!!!), but that there are always trade offs with asschers.

My point here is that I think asschers always have pros and cons, and the most important thing is for the buyer to find something that ticks all of the boxes *for them * despite any small drawbacks.

For me, after spending the day with the ring, this does tick all my boxes despite the fact that there are some lights in which the look isnt my favorite. The stone more than makes up for it in brightness, insane fire, and huge flashes. But I also want to be totally transparent so that other buyers can decide for themselves.

Sometimes I think on PS we only speak about all positives or all negatives (rather than pros and cons), so I think it can be helpful to talk openly about both the things we love and things we dont.

It is so so delicious! I am excited that you got the first one and I’m wishing you many years of happiness wearing that firecracker. Love love love how you set it and you do wear it so well!!

Asscherlicious. Wear your beautiful new ring in good health and blingy joy.:appl:

Ooooooh I’ve been waiting for this!

I just love it. Wow I cannot believe the performance of that stone! You must stare at it constantly!

I am so happy for you and appreciate the open and honest review, too!

Beautiful, so simple and elegant and I love the mixed metal look with your other band.

Really, really beautiful diamond. I am so happy for you.

and the claw prongs? :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Amazing!

Wow! Congrats!!

Congratulations @lovedogs!! She is a beauty and the simple setting allows her to shine. Thank you for sharing about the times when that step goes dark. You’re right that people should know and decide if it’s for them. Im so happy for you that you’ve found an asscher you love.

So glad this ring got a SMTB thread!

Thank you for the fantastic photos, as well as your detailed assessment of the pros and cons of this particular asscher cut. It still takes my breath away, but I'm glad to know of the "black out" effect in certain lighting.

Congrats! Your asscher is just

Congrats on the first one and thanks for such an informative post!

Enjoy every sparkle of your new beauty!!

It’s gorgeous! I love how bright it is in your videos and the shape looks perfect on you. :kiss2:
