Needing Help for Cushion Diamond

Hi –
I’ve been doing research on diamond engagement rings, but feel a bit overwhelmed with all the diamond choices. Was wondering if I could get some help on this forum. I’ve been checking out James Allen and found some potential options for a cushion cut. Below are my parameters and the links to the diamonds I’ve found thus far. Hoping to get your feedback on these diamonds. If one of the diamonds I've found is a better value than the others. It wouldn’t surprise me if the options I’ve found may not be the best valued diamonds per my parameters. If there’s better options/values, I’ll gladly consider your suggestions.

Diamond: Cushion
Budget: 7k – 10k for the diamond
Setting: Platinum Solitaire ring
Carat: 1.2 or greater
Color: G or better

Well, two of those look pretty good! I'd keep #1 and 3 as options and rule out the other two. 1 and 3 have nicely defined facet patterns.

I personally would go for a larger G rather than pay that much for a 1.23 E. I'll see if I see any others.

Here's a pretty 1.4 ct F VS2 (6.60 x 6.28mm) which I'd far rather have than the smaller E (and the G is 6.28 x 6.09):

And if you like ideal cut antique cushions, this is a great option at 1.3 G VS2 (6.74 x 6.2mm).

These are my two top choices, one modern, one antique. What style setting are you looking at? Plain solitaire? I think most cushions will look better in a basket style solitaire over a 4 v-prong style.

For the setting, she wanted a plain solitaire. I had a look at the basket style solitaire mentioned and agree with you. It does look nice with the cushion diamond. Will go with the basket style solitaire.
