Mara, your timing is impeccable.

Just 2 minutes before I saw your post, I received an email from Inna at LM and the ring will arrive TOMORROW no later than 3pm!!! Work on the ring went down to the wire and they finished it JUST in time for shipping today, so Leon didn''t have any time to snap pictures, but that''s OK...I *really* wanted to have it before this weekend! Me and the fam are going on a mini-getaway this weekend. But no need to panic, I will bring the digital camera and laptop with me and post pics ASAP like a good little PSer. Last thing I want is to come back home to a thread-full of crabby PSers!

JK, you guys, of course you''ll get first look, even before DH! (who works late)

I''m actually starting to get nervous about the downloading process...I''ve only done it once before on my new Mac and it may take me awhile to remember how to do it AND get it right!

uploading pics on a mac

1. save them in iphoto
2. export them, size should be about 450 and will auto adjust the other number
3. give unique name and it will save to your desktop
4. start new thread and hit attach file
5. you can browse your desktop and the pic will show up, click on upload and there you go. I''ll be around tomorrow afternoon if you still need help

I am so excited to see your ring. The time really did seem to go by quickly even though I''m sure it seemed like forever for you.

no, not unless the picture is on the internet somewhere. if they on your hard drive, i.e in iphoto, then you have to do them one at a time.

Well, amazingly I slept OK last night. I think it was the previous 4 nights of tossing and turning that helped me conk out! I also haven''t had much of an appetite...I KNOW you all know how that is. Pre-ring anxiety and excitement. There oughta be a DSM-IV diagnosis for that!

I just checked UPS and the ring arrived in Oakland at 5am this morning, and left on the truck at 6am. WHOOPEE! Hopefully that truck will be headed to my ''hood first!!! I''m on pins and needles and have the same feeling gnawing at the pit of my stomach that I had on my wedding day!

Kristy, be glad your little ones aren''t in school yet! It seems that the UPS man always comes during the 15 minute blocks that I am running down Arguello to my son''s school....I always left pathetic notes on my door, "pleeeeeease come back in ten minutes!", and then finally I gave my UPS man my garage code to avoid missing things.
