First time posting on the sight. Been lurking for a couple of weeks.
Debating between two diamonds:

Table: 78%
Depth: 79.3
Crown: 11%
Pavilion: 63%
Girdle: Medium
S/P: Very Good/Good

Have seen is a very pretty stone.

From Mondera:

F Color
SI1 Clarity
Table: 73%
Depth: 77%

Any opinions about the cut of each and how big of a factor does the Symmetry matter? Which do you guys think is best?

Hi Jason!

Fancies are tough to judge without seeing them in person and/or more info than you provided. You've seen the first one and think it's pretty. That's important!

From the Cut Charts, your first diamond has the table of a Class 3A and the Depth of a 2B. Everything else looks good, according to the charts. And, veerrry square! The second diamond is Class 2B all the way from the info you gave.

Price Scope vendors are selling similar diamonds for an average of $3,250 for Class 2B, and $3,125 for Class 3A.

Symmetry ratings are minor variations of degrees on the cut. That translates into fire, scintillation, and light reflected back to you while viewing the diamond. Can you tell the difference between Very Good and Good? You'd have to look at similar color and carat weight diamonds of each rating side by side and decide for yourself. Some people would say they do and others would say they don't. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

Hope the info helps.

Thank you very much! Might be a moot point anyways. Found out the one from Mondera isn't available anymore.

Do you happen to know which EGL Lab graded this stone or at least its cert #?

Don't know which lab. Cert # is 2304153725

...EGL Israel!

Be VERY careful! Be sure to have the stone checked by an appraiser, as EGL Israel is quite liberal...

BTW, Table is too large for my tastes...
