Blue Nile ~ they have lots of Natural D IF in the 1/2 ct range for $1k-3K .... you can use price scope to search... Also BN and JA have 2x orig 100% upgrade credit so in the future you would have the option to go larger stone as your $ situation allows...
They both have large selections of stock settings....

Culture wise - Thailand is a major Gem Hub (more Rubies and Sapphires) but they do know Diamonds... Not sure how well synthetics would play over there.... And under 1ct you really are not saving much with LGD.

In Thailand, people often refer to diamonds by the term “เพชรน้ำ %” (“Petch Nam”). “เพชร” means diamond, and “น้ำ” means water. The idea is that the clearer a diamond is, the closer it resembles water. “เพชรน้ำ 100%” means the diamond is completely clear, which corresponds to the “D Color” grade on the GIA scale.

Doesn't have to be a GCAL 8X HPHT...and that's if you want to shop with WF to get the premium H&A melee.

Just a point of clarification. We do have a large number of diamonds available with GCAL reports. If you go to our search page for lab diamonds and click on Advanced Search you can filter for different laboratories.

Usually geared towards a more fiery diamond (colored flashes of light while under direct lighting sources).

I’m so tempted to buy something sooner than later. I don’t know how much longer I can withstand my obsession. It’s mentally draining with all the different options and it’s mentally draining me.

If WF is local to you I would just spend more time there to compare the different options they have in inventory in person. Ignore all the numbers and stats and just see if there’s one that catches your eyes more than the others across a variety of lighting environments.

Well that was my plan today, but the sales rep I've been dealing with didn't seem to keen on me stopping by today. Asked if I was ready to buy, I said I'm getting close. She said why don't you wait till you're ready to buy. At that point I was ready to get off the phone.

I have to try to keep perspective, in that I have been by WF 3 times already, and I guess she didn't want to waste anymore time with me. I do wonder if the stones I had been looking at were more in the $10,000's range if I would have gotten the same treatment over the phone today..

While trying to maintain perspective on the sales person's view, I must admit it has left a bad taste in my mouth. Whiteflash was the leader in the clubhouse for my eventual purchase, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Maybe a small .5ct JannPaul Decagon will be within my reach. Not hopeful, but I have reached out to them. I've read it is hard to get a response from them so I will try multiple avenues.

I am sorry you felt like you were not valued or appreciated. I looked into the communications and the notes about your previous visits. I think there may have been a misunderstanding. It appears your diamond consultant was trying to convey to you that the diamonds you would be looking at would probably not be available given your timeline to purchase and that it might be better to wait until you were a little closer, since you had been able to see a number of natural and lab grown diamonds and learn about our process on your previous visits.

As you know from your visits, we have an intimate showroom and a small staff. We schedule appointments so that we can give each client adequate time for such an important purchase, and treat them to a very personal experience.

We have a customer advocacy approach to helping our customers. Our staff are all fulltime employees on salary. Nobody here works on commission, so that there is never any pressure to buy. This is also why we refer to our sales team as diamond consultants. Their job is to understand your goals and try to help you meet them, all while delivering a pleasant shopping experience.

A consultant can only do so much in helping with decisions that really need to come from the client. At a certain point basic decisions need to be made and a direction identified before a consultant can provide further meaningful guidance.

We definitely do appreciate your interest in Whiteflash and I hope that came through in your previous visits. And we do hope to see you again in the future.

And I’ve been driving myself crazy searching and trying to find the best deal overall, etc. etc. White flash is still up near the top of my list and probably at the top if I stick with a premium diamond I’m also looking at Jann Paul decagon but with the tariffs and import/duty fees, it really becomes not competitive. I am really close to purchasing very soon. I started talking with CVB Designs and I may purchase a WF lab diamond. She told she has had customers ship WF diamonds directly to her from WF so that might be the route I go.
