I posted in Feb and with the help from this forum I found a diamond I was happy with. However the order got cancelled due to covid and I’m now starting my search all over again.

I’m looking for a diamond for an engagement ring around 1.2 carat with a budget of 3.5k USD shipped to Canada.

so far I’ve found

Was wondering if I could have some feedback on how to narrow down or how to find better ones. Thanks so much for your time.

The VVS is overkill on clarity- save yourself some money, and go with a VS1. Also, their branded “Super Ideal” is just labeling- read the PS guides for buying diamonds, you will find all the same rules of angles apply to lab diamonds as well. When you find some that you think are all exceptional, plug them into the HCA tool to get some final, by the numbers feedback.
Here is where I would start my research. Good luck! I’m sure no matter what you pick, it will be a beauty.
This is a good, free tool I used before playing for HCA Your goal is to get something in the middle of AGS Ideal and GIA Excellent- that’s a good indication the the angles work well, and it’s worth running through the HCA

Hi Skydiver51
Another canuck here; I recently purchased a MMD from Jon at Distinctive Gem and it will be arriving shortly. Please check out his website and videos for guidance and great info on diamonds !!
