I need help from the experts here regarding the AGA emerald cut class. I am looking at 3 rather large and expensive stones that on the GIA cert class out at I think a IB and yet the sarin report shows a discrepancy enough to push the stone into the 2A or 2B category (if I''m reading them correctly). Should I disregard the sarin and stick to the GIA or is the sarin more accurate or does it really matter? The vendor tells me that these discrepancies are common. Also one of the stones reports no culet on the GIA cert while the sarin shows a 12.6%. Is this a problem??
The depth/table of stone 1 is 66/63.1 while the sarin reports 67.3/65
The depth/table of stone 2 is 64.9/64 while the sarin reports 65.1/64.5
The depth/table of stone 3 is 65.4/62 while the sarin reports 66.4/61.5
The crown height and girdle are all within 1A ranges
Thanks in advance for any help with this confusion!!!
