Need help with 3 stone ring

My mom is resetting her center diamond. 2.2 carat 8.3mm. What size round side diamonds would look best proportionally? Any pictures of example rings would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

There are many three stone variations that your mom can pursue. I think it may be best for her to try on some three stone rings locally if possible to see which proportions speak to her. I initially wanted larger side stones for my center stone, but after exploring various options, I eventually ended up with much smaller stones. Here is my 2.13ct (8.25mm) center stone with 0.23ct each side stones (4mm) on size 5.5.

I had the pleasure of seeing @SimoneDi's stunning ring in person and absolutely looovvveee the proportions! I do think it also depends on what finger size you're working with. I have much larger fingers so I might do a smidge larger, but the overall ratio of smaller side stones I really love! We have PSers on here that prefer the 1:2:1 ratio so if you're working with a 2.2 ct center, each side would be 1.1 cts. A much larger look but it's really personal preference.

I believe you could get a set of CZs to play around with different sizes before pulling the trigger on the real thing (think yssie did this, if I remember correctly - she also ended up going with much smaller side stones for her 4ct+ stone).

Love your ring! Thank you for posting. My mom is a 5.75 but primarily due to arthritis. In her youth she was a 4.75. We are going this weekend to look at settings, but wasn’t sure if there was a “rule” or recommended ratio for 3 stone rings.

@SimoneDi -Just wanted to say that I love your ring and the proportions!!! I don’t see a thread on it or am I missing it? Would love to see more pictures!

My 3-stone ring has a 2.21 center and two .53 sides, all F color CBI diamonds. The sides are within .01mm of each other and have the same crown and pavilion angles. It was custom made by HPD in a size 4.5
