Hello everyone, I am new here and I just got a stone from my colleague who was a jeweler trader before.

Just curious the real market price for this stone that he sold to me.

Yes, and I’m basing that amount on a search I did on PS for similar size, color and clarity diamonds available through James Allen.

Put the specs into the diamond search bar near the top of the forum and you should have some comparators come up.

JA and BN are showing $3500-$3880 for on-line retail. On the second-hand market it should be cheaper though.

Other places are showing about $3100.

Thanks for your reply, I've done several searches already and it is shown around those price online. However, I am not sure if a better proportion and inclusion would affect the price a bit. Mine has a near-excellent hearts and arrows.

According to a quick & simple Google search 5,900 Canadian translates to approximately 4519.99 US dollars. So it looks like he took home a nice little compensation for this sale.

Is there any way that you can return it or that he can price match? Its a shame to pay 1k more give or take when you could have gotten the same for cheaper. We always recommend coming here as there are many knowledgeable people who love to find you something amazing for a great price! There's no cheating others' here, just knowledge!
