Hello all, I have been researching diamonds for about two months now (and reading LOTS of PS posts). I have finally narrowed my search to two stones and was hoping to solicit your advice.
Stone 1:
1.52 CT
D
SI2
GIA X X X
FL: none
Depth: 60.2%
Table: 58%
Crown: 32 degrees
Pavilion: 41.4 degrees
Culet: none
Stone 2:
1.64 CT
SI1
GIA X X VG
FL: none
Depth: 61.6%
Table: 56%
Crown: 35 degrees
Pavilion: 40.8
Culet: none
I have seen both in person -- they are both eye clean and stunning. I have a concern -- stone # 2 has an "indented natural" on the very edge (I did not notice it when I looked at the stone). Will this make the stone fragile? Is it worth busting my budget to get a stone that is slightly larger (it is about $3,400 more than the 1.52 CT and about $2k over my $15k budget). Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.
