Hello there,
My boyfriend had been trying to get me a suprise present but ended up we are picking the diamond together. We had eliminated down to 2 loose diamonds from Blue Nile but honestly don''t know which one will be a better choice. We could definitely use some opinions.

Diamond #1 (with grading report from AGSL)
$1676
0.463 ct, Ideal cut, Colour F, VS1, Ideal Polish & Ideal Symmetry
Table % = 55.2%
Depth % = 61.7%
Crown angle = 34.2*
Pavilion angle = 40.8*

Diamond #2 is a Signature Ideal cut from Blue Nile (with grading report from GIA)
$1551
0.46 ct, Excellent cut, Colour E, VS2, Excellent Polish & Excellent Symmetry
Table % = 55%
Depth % = 61.8%
Crown angle = 34.5*
Pavilion angle = 40.8*

It will be great if you guys can give us some help here

Both looks great from the numbers. I will go with the E VS2, cheaper, better color and without a loupe and expert training, no one can tell the difference between VS2 and VS1.

You''ve picked two very nice diamonds! I assume the diameters are very close to the same judging from the other info, but ordinarily that is a spec you need to list as well. I guess the second one has a slight edge because it costs a little less (and I like the 34.5/40.8 combo because I think that is what my diamond is), but I would be comfortable with either stone.

Thank you for your feedback and I guess it is so true that not even an expert can tell the clarity difference with bare eyes

and we''ve been searching over and over to try to pick the best value of rock

There''s another one we had spotted just now and it seems to be a good deal:
Diamond #3 (with AGSL grading cert):
$1444
0.446 ct, Colour D, VS2 Clarity
Ideal cut, ideal symmetry & ideal polish
Table % = 56.1%, Depth % = 61.8%, Crown angle = 34.5*, Pavilion angle = 40.8*

We just don''t know if it''s worth the money to get a Blue Nile signature ideal cut diamond or not. Besides, it seems like diamonds with AGSL report (and graded as ideal cut) have a reputation of gaurantee on cut grades.

Please let me know what you guys think of

This is another great contender and as DS says you could pick anyone of these diamonds and be happy I am sure.
