Hello to all,
I'm new here and I'm in serious need of help deciding which engagement ring to buy. I am having trouble deciding which is the better decision. I don't have a big budget to work with (looking to spend $1200 or less). I am looking at two different rings (both round solitaires).
One is a Round diamond solitaire .59 carat H VS1 I found for sale from an ebay estate sale which I can get for around $900 (used of course because its from an estate sale). It looks very nice and says the replacement value is around $3650.....
The other ring is a Jubilant Crown cut round solitaire that is a .68 carat SI1 I color I can get for around $1000. I haven't been able to find a great deal of information about this diamond cut other than it is a modified cut with 16 additional facets. I'm not 100% sold on it because of the lack of information out there on it. I haven't seen one in person yet but the pictures look very nice and many who have seen it say its beautiful. Also, if I buy it and if I don't love it I have 30 days to return it no questions asked. My girlfriend used to have a Radiant Star diamond (145 facet ring from Helzbergs, however, low quality diamond) and loved it so that's how I arrived at the Jubilant crown because of the additional facets.
Which am I better off buying and/or does anybody have any suggestions for me that could be helpful?
