I''m a neophyte on diamonds.

I came across at .82 GIA D-color, VVS1 Princess Cut.

Was quoted a price of 3850.00 for the stone.

The cut I''m told is very good. and it is a slight Blue hue.

Does this sound right?

You have not given us enough info. to give you a fair answer. Do you have a copy of the certificate to post, or perhaps some other stats?

By slight blue hue I hope you meant slight blue fluorescence?? Or is the jeweler telling you it's a blue-white diamond? If it's so, start running FAST!
