need help in choosing a wedding band to go with ER

hi everyone! longtime lurker coming out of hiding

i recently got engaged and i've been looking for possible wedding ring designs that will fit my ER. my ER's specs are:

stone ct.wt: 1/2 carat
cut: old european
clarity: i have no idea but i'm supposing it's SI? it's eye clean anyway.
color: my fiance doesn't want to say but best personal guess would be-- I?
ring metal: palladium
size: 5.5 (which is half a size big on me)




i love vintage and antique stones, and old european cuts are my favorite. i also love the detailed work on the ring but veer away from too elaborate designs, which is typical of a lot of the antique styles, i know. that makes it quite difficult for my fiance, since i'm always kind of "in the middle" of things. i like some detail but not too much. it would be good for the ring to show some history but again, not too much that it feels alien on my finger. (as you can see, i can be kind of picky)

i also don't want the ring to go beyond $500 as we have a lot of wedding expenses as it is. i know that limits the options but i'd really do appreciate any help you can give. i'm open to any suggestions (plain, w/stone, etc). thanks!
