Hi all-
After having my Sholdt semi-bezel for about 12 years now, it recently started getting caught in my hair and I'm finding fuzzy bits of material in the bezel. So instead of getting it fixed, I decided I'm going to have it re-set into my second fave setting .. a three stone with pear sides.

So my first question - What size pears would work best with a 2.52 round center?
Second question- Who to do the reset? Nice prongs are a must, and I'm thinking of doing six as opposed to four.

In the past my favorite three stone with pears sides was the one Leon Mege did. Only thing I wasn't a fan of, is how low he'd set the stones.
But I haven't really been on PS much over the years so no idea who else has become a fave.

Recommendations for jewelers, as well as pics would be great.

Thanks everyone.

Victor...I think he will set it where you ask him, unlike Leon.

I second this!! If I ever end up resetting to a three stone ( which is a real possibility) this is the design I would pick. Very fluid and great proportions.

I have a 2.57 MRB that I had Steven Kirsch reset into a three stone with pear sides a number of years ago. The center stone is 8.8 x 8.75 x 5.46mm and the pears are .42 each and measure 6.7 x 4.3 x 2.6 mm. The prongs are gorgeous tiny double claws (4 double sets). I can take some photos and post them later if that would help.

Your center stone dimensions are nearly identical to mine. Would love to see some pics of you ring.

Definitely check out his groove set side stones. So sleek and clean. Love the removal of the prongs.

Hi, elle, sorry for the delay; work has been super busy lately. Here are a few photos as promised. Ring size is about a 6.25 I believe.

Thanks for the pics. Your ring is gorgeous!
