Need Help Determining Worth

I''m looking to sell my engagement ring, but don''t know how much to sell it for. I''ve had it appraised, and the appraised value was $14,250, but I''ve heard that I wouldn''t get that in a resell environment. Also, any ideas on where to sell it?

Here are the specs:
Ladies Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring
6 prong Set Contor w/ 2 tapered baguettes Flanked by double bars on shank

Diamond:
6.86 x 6.79 x approx. 4.10
Approx 1.20 carats
3.95mm table 57.7%
Depth: 59.9 %
Polished Faceted girdle
Clarity: VS1
Color: G

Baguettes approx .12 carats each
Color: VS/G
Both strong blur flour

I can't tell you what to sell your ring for. But I can tell you that you will not get what it was appraised for.

Check out www.mondera.com and www.bluenile.com to see if they have settings similar to yours to get a general idea of how much an internet shopper would pay for a ring similar to yours. And then, once you've done all that math, realize that you are only going to get a percentage of that total because nobody is going to pay a private citizen for something used that they could get themselves for the same price new from a store. The incentive has to be a serious price reduction.

Anyway, to answer how much you should sell it for -- as much as you can!
