The first one is the 1.08 ct and the second is the 1.02 ct.... Which one is the better buy? Is it worth the extra $700 for an extra 0.1 mm on the table and a color of H instead of I? I''m wary of going down to an I in color... I had originally been looking to purchase a diamond with a G color so going down to I concerns me? Should I be concerned? Thanks for all your help!

Are they both eye clean? They both look great to me! Maybe the less expensive one.

Both of these are excellent diamonds, it depends on whether you want to spend extra for a higher colour grade or not, but either of these would be a great choice, can''t go wrong!

If they are both eye clean then go with either, and if price is an option then go less. HOWEVER, from my experience I would also call the dealer and ask which SPARKLES more, if it is the I, it may offset the top color view and make it look whiter. My personal preference no matter what is to get the stone that glows and sparkles the most. but thats just my 2 cents...

From my experience, I'd stick with the GIA cert. Color is the most important to me, you are in the SI rage so you SHOULDN'T see anything with the naked eye. I assume you'll be setting the diamond in white gold or platinum, the better color will make you much happier if you plan on using either setting.

Setting any stones along the sides of your center stone? Plan on matching it up with a wrap, insert or diamond band?

Hi dh, why do you say this, may I ask?

I would also like to ask why you advise sticking to a GIA graded diamond when there is also a candidate from the other top tier AGS lab available?

I agree with the last 2 comments of why... AGS AND GIA are the best top labs and you can't go wrong getting a stone with certs from these. Other labs (certain EGL ex america) do a good job as well, but these are the 2 best. edited...also don't assume SI's are eye clean and you wont see anything... Make sure to ASK that they are eye clean...

I called Whiteflash tonight and Lesley told me that the 1.08 ct H SI1 is eyeclean from 3 inches and the inclusions are white and not visible from the side. The 1.023 ct AGS graded I SI1 stone is eyeclean from 8 inches and the inclusions are also light colored and not visible from the side.

I thought you''d all like to know I chose the 1.08 ct H SI1 because it is about 0.1 mm bigger in measurements and it is better peace of mind for me because when I originally began shopping I was looking for a G colored stone and it would be hard for me to go down to an I color. So I guess for the extra $700 I know I am getting a beautiful stone and I can''t wait to see the ring and the look on her face when she sees it!!
