Good Afternoon! I am new to this website so please bear with me. My FI recently purchased a 1.30 CT Tiffany Solitaire Engament Ring on EBAY. The GIA certifcate checks out but I am still leery that it is an actual Tiffany Ring. I have attached pictures below and a link to the ebay listing. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Not sure if you care, but it also looks to be a steep/deep.

It seems authentic. You should take it to an appraiser.

Good Afternoon Julie, can please explain what a steep/deep is? I apologize I am new to all of this :)

Steep/deep refers to the crown and pavilion angles being too high to optimize light return, and it creates areas in the diamond where more light passes through than should, instead of being returned to the viewer.

I don't know how much you paid for it, but you can get a better diamond and a very similar setting for less than the price on the eBay page. However, it won't have a Tiffany stamp if that is important to you.

Julie,

Thank you for clarifying! He paid $8,750 for the ring. I was concerned about the stamp being authentic or the Tiffany Diamond Certificate. Additionally the gold lettering on the inside of the box holding the ring, I didnt know if that should be silver.

Have a great day!

the ring box was lettered in gold at some point in time...

Good luck! :wavey:
