Need Emerald Diamond Advise

Hello, Everyone

I'm in the process of buying a diamond ring for my soon to be fiance. First, I am very skeptical about buying a diamond from online retailers. I have couple friends who have bought diamond from bluenile. I am looking at the following item and I need some advise.

Welcome to Price Scope! As a vendor, I'm not permitted to comment on the diamond itself, but I can provide some insight and perhaps serve to bump the thread up a little...

One of the things that I like to consider when looking at emerald cut diamonds is the overall shape of the diamond... It can be a challenge to figure out what a fancy cut diamond is going to look like in terms of shape using just the numbers alone, but there is a really cool "shape picker" tool available herehttp://www.gemappraisers.com/shapePickerNew.asp which works by entering the length and width of the diamond, which in this case is 5.89 x 4.65 which results in a Length to Width Ratio of 1.266 as pictured in the attached screenshot.

The primary inclusion is indicated as a "needle" which is simply a long, thin, diamond crystal... so diamond within the diamond, no big deal.
