Hi,
I have been reading these forums for a while and it has provided me with lots of knowledge and would like some expert opinions. I have recently made the plunge and purchased what i believe is a truly amazing H&A diamond for my engagement ring noted as below:
The specifications are as follows:

1.32ct
E-colour
VS1
Triple Excellent
No Fluoro

Every jeweller that I have been talking with have informed me that it is a true hearts and arrows diamond based on the diamond proportions which are follows:

Depth - 62.1
Table - 56
Crown Angle - 34.5
Crown Height - 15.0
Pavillion Angle - 40.8
Pavillion Dept - 43.0
Girdle - Med to slightly thick
Polish/Symmetry - Excellent

I also checked the Holloway cut advisor and it gives me a score of 1.3 which from what i know is a good thing.

The reason for the post is because i have so many reports on H&A diamonds and some the criteria is actually different.

I really appreciate your thoughts and feedback.

Many Thanks :)

You don't know if it is a H&A unless you can see the the H&A with a viewer. H&A is a measure of symmetry, not light performance, and can't be determined by numbers. A stone can have great angles and outstanding light return and still have a horrible H&A.

Very true. Proof is in the hearts and arrows images - not numbers. The stone from the numbers does look to be a well cut stone - just no guarantee if H&A cut.

Hi there,

Thank you so much for your responses. I have just viewed the diamond through the viewer thing at my jewellers and the hearts and arrows are exceptionally beautiful. The hearts were spot on and the arrow were pinpoint.

Not i just have to wait for the ring to be made. Very very excited.

Thank you again for your feedback.

:)
