#2

But both are great

Thanks! Any reason for #2?

Both has all 1A on AJA/NAJA. But on HCA, #1 has excellent on light return, fire, Scintillation; very good on spread. #2 has excellent on light return and fire; very good on Scintillation and spread.
I guess this is due to the smaller table?

Will the very good Scintillation be an issue?

#2

But both are great

I picked #2 because it is larger (look at size in mm not just carat weight) and because I slightly prefer the look of a CBI over ACA.

Personal preference.

Like I said before, both are great!

CBI vs ACA....what are these acronyms?

#2 for me, too - It's larger and I don't like paying for something I can't see in terms of clarity and VS1 is extremely clean. G is my sweet spot for color and will be very white. My first stone was an E and when I upgraded I went to a G stone to maximize my size and I have zero regrets.

CBI = Crafted By Infinity which is your #2 diamond @ High Performance Diamonds

ACA = A Cut Above which is your #1 diamond @ Whiteflash

Ah, okay. So retailer-specific marketing jargon.;-)

Not saying these classifications don't have any merit, but essentially they are each retailer's competing "high-end" product.

Thank you! Picked #2! As you said, both are great!

Thank you! Picked#2. G and VS1 is definite my sweet spot. Both 1# and 2# have excellent crown and pavilion cut.

Congrats!!! Are you having HPD set it or are you having it set elsewhere?

This actually helps me. Not an expert or experienced diamond buyer. I realized cut is the most important thing from the posts in this forum. I use these "term" as a filter to help me reduce the search range.

Thanks! I am having HPD set it for me. I was hesitated about that, since I couldn't find image of any setting on HPD website like other retailers. But HPD has been really helpful on selecting settings through email. So it went smoothly!
I would suggest HPD to launch the web page with setting selection. This will be good for no experienced people like me :)

Great choice! What type of setting did you end up with?

Oh, I believe their website is under construction and they will have settings on there eventually.

It is from Stuller. Solitaire style but different from Tiffany classic 6 prongs (used to love it, but change my mind eventually). I prefer to have a different look than a well known branded style (just my preference). Will post some images later.

Does anyone know how is HPD ring box? I couldn't really tell from the photo they sent. Any other photos will be really helpful for me! Just want to make sureit is the style we like. Otherwise, I will need to start to get one now.

Can't wait to see your final ring!
