Another idea here if you don''t want the extra earrings:
It looks like the sidestones are 4 invisibly set princess cuts on each side. If they are, perhaps, you can set them as 4 side stones in a row on each side of the asscher on the shank of the ring. I wish I could photoshop these but for now, you''ll just have to imagine it.
