Need advice

Hello,
I am a newbee I this site. I need some advise on some diamond studs that I purchase 2 years ago from Shane co.
I was examining my studs with a x10 loop today and was horrified at the quality of the stones. One of the many feathers is even cracked at the girdle on one of them. I wish I would have known what to look for when I initially purchased them. I am afraid they may even crack further in time. My dilemma is, do use their trade up policy and trade from fine to finest or should I avoid even dealing with them? The pair is 1.5 carat total weight and cost around 2,800. To trade up to finest would cost another 2,200 or so. What should I do?

Well if the ones you have are fine, I doubt even their finest will be the quality you're looking for. If it were me, I'd cut my losses now and go with a vendor with a stellar reputation for ideal/excellent cut diamonds. You can sell your current studs on Loupetroop and use the money you get for new higher quality studs.

Check out Brian Gavin Diamonds and Whiteflash. I think you'll be amazed at the difference.
