I''m new here. I''m looking to get my wife a replacement for her engagement ring which I bought 5 years ago. I''m looking for something w/n .7 to 1.0 carat. My budget is under $1300 but I want something that is a princess cut. Can it be done?

If you look into smaller stones i.e., something within the .50 to .55ct (depending upon the specs), and an inexpensive plain setting, you might be able to make it just under the wire with $1300.

Good Old Gold also has a few princess cuts in the .50 to .55 carat weights that are a couple of hundred dollars over your $1300 price point:

I just don't think .70 to 1.0cts is doable with your budget, especially if you want a well-cut stone.
