This is a GIA 1.75, H color, VS2 with strong blue fluorescence that I'm looking to purchase and would like your feedback. Whiteflash say's that the diamond faces up really white and has great sparkle. I cannot tell from the pictures about a bowtie. Note, I'm no diamond expert. I have 10 days to make a decision. Thanks in advance.

It looks good for a pear. You just need to know pears are not going to be as brilliant as some other stones such as ideal cut rounds.

Not my favorite. But pears are so hard. It's not a terrible one. But... again, not my favorite.

Can they make you a video? Seeing still of fancies is so hard. Especially when it's only one image.

If they can make you a short video and you can post it, that would really help. I has potential, but I really think seeing how it moves with the light is important.

Based on the ASET I think it’s a pretty solid diamond. Sure, there is not as much red as I’ve seen from some rare pears, but (more importantly) there is abundant overall light return – meaning green and red. Let’s remember green is light return, just not as intense in the static “zero” position as red. But once that diamond’s in motion, which is the normal condition, everything changes. You don’t want leakage. You don’t want overabundant obstruction. You want light return, and this one has it.

Here is a very good ASET for a pear for reference.

That is not a pear with a good ASET.

I linked to the wrong stone - my mistake. Easily done with lots of windows open.

Thanks for your politeness in pointing out my mistake -always appreciated.

I've done it myself enough times!

I think it's a decent pear, very pretty and appealing looking. If WF says it's really sparkly, I would trust them. They are known for being pretty honest about stones.

I greatly appreciate everyone's opinions and advice. It's great seeing comparable stones however, the price for the one I posted is $8,600, which is significantly less than those mentioned above. I think I will wait to receive it in person and make a final decision over the next tens days. Upon receipt, should I take the stone to a local jeweler for their opinion? If kept, I was planning to have a local jeweler set the stone in a white gold halo similar to the picture attached. Again, thanks for all the advice!!!

No, I would not take it to a local jeweler because they will tell you they can get you a better one, which is unlikely.

If you like that setting, have WhiteFlash send it to Ritani to set. WF is a Ritani dealer. Much safer having the diamond seller set the diamond.
