I have a 1 carat diamond that has been in my family for about 50 years. I do not want to sell it but have to. I do not want to make a big mistake in this process, I was told years ago by a wholesale jeweler that it was really good stuff so that's just enough to make me wonder. Any advice would be appreciated.
