which do you think is a better/smarter buy the .62 ct E VS2 or the 73. ct G SI1 there more less the same price?

The first thing people notice is size... they are both tasteful sizes, definitely not gaudy or anything.

I had a diamond the size of the .73ct G. It was a really nice size.

I think part of your decision should be based on how color sensitive your girlfriend is. Have you two looked together? Some people prefer the D-E-F colorless range, while others (like myself) prefer the near colorless G-H-I-J range. Color is very personal and there is no right or wrong answer, only what you or your girlfriend prefer.

As far as which is a "better buy", well, I guess that also depends on how sensitive you are to clarity too.

A lot of people consider a SI1 a "sweet spot" because you are not paying for something you cannot see, however, others prefer higher clarity for peace of mind.

I dont care for the 0.73ct G SI1 the crown angle is too low and the hearts are a bit yucky.
Not GOG''s best diamond.

If your looking for a h&a diamond the first one is the only h&a you linked the other and the G/SI arent h&a.

No need to fret...so many stones in your price range.

Sure, the hearts are drunk on the G SI1, but it's not being priced as an H&A.

I'm not sure what the debate is...H&A vs non H&A or color/clarity vs size...or any combination of the four?
