Need advice on E VS1 2ct

Dear all,

i am looking for a 2ct E VS1 for a ring. Below is one of the stones that I have reserved based on the recommended values from PS. Please let me know what you think about this diamond. The price is about 32,000USFD. Do you think it’s a good buy?

Looks good. Does the vendor have a good upgrade policy and/or return policy if you decide you donj't love it in person? 32K is a lot of $$ to spend without that peace of mind, so wanted to check.

Dear Lovedogs, thank you so much for your feedback. I am a newbie, so i doubt i will not love it in person. Well I have learned a lot from this forum the last two years and i am really grateful to receive advice from you experts.

That being said, i am not paying anything up front to have the diamond shipped to my local jeweler, however they would like to know that i am really interested. So i asked if they can provide ideal scope image, and they did. Initially i only gave them the PS recommended proportions.

Should i ask for more IS images, or this is sufficient? Do you also think the price is 'good"? i have bargained really hard, and they assured me that it is the best they can do.
 
I am a newbie, and would really like to learn, could anyone explain to me how to read the IS image?

The IS image is a model, not a picture of the stone; it is possible to have such perfect symmetry, but I do not expect it unless the stones are specialty cuts - H&A [see @cflutist - gotta go!]; there is much, much talk around here about how this matters, I find the detail impressive, sure enough.

Not bad on the certificate.

But I agree with @lovedogs, that's a lot of $$ to spend, do you have actual images taken of this stone? Better to make sure of the inclusions too. The image you shared does not reveal much on symmetry as well as girdle cutting since it's a CAD model.

Return and upgrade policy is a must to check as well, especially for this amount of spending.

Is this immediately right after purchase? I'd be wary of buying from anyone who would not refund 100% within a short time after purchase. Unless you mean 80% buy-back after several months like HPD does.

Here's a diamond for comparison at Distinctive Gem. A little larger and pricier, but at least it gives you an idea. I think Jon offers a 14-day return window.

I wasnt aware that it is a CAD image. i thought IS. Was wondering why the arrows are white, as the IS images are usually black. I will ask for real images, may be a video.

I am buying from a reputable jeweler from the region. I will check the local policy for the return within 30days.

Thank you! It is 2.73ct (9mm).

I didn't realize you weren't in the US. I'm not sure where you are, but Blue Nile ships internationally and also has this diamond listed.

It's the same. But at VS1 clarity, there probably aren't any issues with the girdle.

I think it looks good. Scores 1.2 on the HCA. You haven't clarified the return policy unless I missed it.
