I have 3 initial lots of gem quality rough diamonds that I am being asked to try and sell in the U.S. directly from the owner of the new mine. All Documented etc. I thought sure! I''ll see what I can do for you. After reading through these forums and making many attempts to discuss on the phone with experts, NADA! Reading this forum has helped me to understand why. Lots of Risk and work for a potential buyer from an unknown, perhaps illegal source of rough diamonds. Why bother! Please, this is a sincere appeal. I have zero diamond experience, just a businessman finding that the diamond trade is like nothing I have ever seen. I have learned a great deal from the postings and links here and am very thankful.
What is the best way for me to find someone to review the specs and establish interest in the diamonds? I don''t expect to sell anything that the buyer can not personally inspect. The roughs have been "graded" in the country of origin, and I have pictures and specs. as a starting point. One Lot is 26 stones totalling 60.4 cts. (SI1 to VVS2) (D -G in colors)
