Hi

I found a diamond with the following proportions, and alhtough it falls outside the traditional AGS 0 it scores well on the HCA (1.6). Is there any danger that the pavillion is too deep and light will escape?

Carat 2.07
Diameter 8.35
Table 4.60 (55.0%)
Depth 5.02 (60.1%)
Crown 32 deg (14.0%)
Pavillion 41.3 deg (43.7%)
Girdle 0.9 - 1.4 thin/medium (1.1%)
Culet 0.8%

It's a G color, VS1, EX Polish, VG symmetry, and no FL. Does it seem reasonable around $20,000?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

MPW,

You're right, the stone is outside traditional ideal proportions but deep pavilion is compensated by shallow crown and you have very little light leakage and nice light return.

Here are the Diamond Calculator results for these proportions. Not bad at all.
