I have counted my collection and it looks like I have 8 Necklaces and 8 Rings.
I am flirting with an additional piece and, yup, you guessed it…it’s either another Necklace or another Ring.
But I feel as if most PS-ers err on the side of more Rings.
Any thoughts??
A very broad-based question I know.

Oh yea!!!!! Ok, ok….I hear you.
And I also think as I age, my hands are starting to show my age and my knuckles sometimes swell but my “pencil neck” is still pretty good than you very much :)

You must adorn your skinny neck with as many jewels as possible.
This means that you are the lucky girl who can rock a 14" choker, and still be able to breathe!

Well actually I was just squeezing into 14” watch chain the other day that I didn’t buy…. but yes, it’s sort of the one thing I have.
Akin to those girls with a shoe size 5 who get all the fabulous marked-down sale shoes!!!!!

Hmm no pics in this thread, not sure I can cope!

i am loving this thread
thank you @SapphireBomb

i have a bit of a fat neck so everything seems to need extended
i should have tons of photos but so much is on the repair & alterantions list, but i have finally found a local lady who does pearl knotting and she has clasps

just gotta pay the council rates and then i'll start sending them off to her as i have lots of gemstone beads

in my prevouse job i had an informal compition going with a lady in the paint dept over necklaces
so lots of fashion pieces as we worked close to the mall and they had an accessory store that was always having a sale
compaired to my mall jewler purchases i dont at all regrete the accessory store purchases as they all got worn a lot and were fun and didnt cost much

here's a picture

i just have to get the really really ugly gold plated yuck findings out of the vintage/antigue Whitby jet to go (with the rorse quartz)

and buy a few more malachite beads to go with the spair Whitby Jet

i might wear the tiger eye today
it was mum's, not that i remember her wearing it but my sister rejected it so i got it
i got some more tiger eye to make a matching bracelete when i shorten it
im replacing the plastic gold painted spacer beads with gold filled ones

the blue beads are iolite, i had to buy them to make freight free, im hopeless at sizes

I have a number of pearl necklaces, and a selection of pendants with pearls, diamonds and CSs.

I would like to replace the 1in/25mm approximate diamond paved heart pendant that I sold a few years ago one day.

It was sold at a time when I did not have many opportunities to wear it and needed the money. However, my circumstances have changed and I could do with such a blingy pendant.

I may go down the LGD or simulant route.

DK :))

I found it at an estate sale for a few dollars.
I didn't know what it was at first but
after some research on an antique forum, I was over the moon!

They are watch cocks from fusee pocket watches. Watchmakers made jewelry from these spare parts.

Here is what inside of the watch looks like. This is not my watch, just an example.

It was pointed out to me that one of the pieces might be George III. Note the sloping forehead and the weak chin.
Also the little ponytail and the lacy cravat.

HI:

Have a ton-o-necklaces: nice to pile on (now called a neck mess). With rings, I can't so much pile on: that said I have a few if I wanted to do so.

cheers--Sharon

I am crazy, lol. I must have an entire suite for my collection, i.e.; pendant, ring, earrings, bracelet and brooch. They don't have to match but they do all have to have the same type and color stones. I have a suite in every color much to hubby's dismay.
