So I been searching and searching nearly everyday for the past month or so, done a TON of research, seen diamonds in person and online, and have narrowed it down to 2 main choices.. (I hope one of these will be THE one)
These are from 2 DIFFERENT online vendors...I would love to hear what you guys think! Both are def. eye-clean according to both respective reps that I chatted with.
First diamond is GIA 1.5 Round Ideal H VS2. There are NO inclusions on the crown/table according to the GIA cert. The only inclusions are all in the pavillion (bottom) of the diamond, and there are maybe 3 random pinpoints, and a tiny feather.
Depth %: 61.20
Girdle: -Medium
Table %: 54.00
Polish: Very Good
Crown ∠: 32.5
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: None
Pavilion ∠: 41
L/W/D (mm): 7.40*7.42*4.5
Second diamond GIA 1.59 Round Ideal H VVS2. Inclusions include 2 pinpoints on the table and 1 pinpoint on a star facet.
Depth %: 59
Girdle: -Medium
Table %: 60
Polish: Excellent
Crown ∠: 32
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Medium Blue
Pavilion ∠: 41
L/W/D (mm): 7.64 x 7.62 x 4.50 mm
PRICE difference of about $200-300. Around $13500 for 1st diamond, $13300 for the 2nd.
The 2nd diamond is actually cheaper..Even though it's bigger, and in a higher clarity.
I'm thinking it's because of the fluorescence? Or maybe the 2nd vendor is just generally cheaper in prices?
Anyway, any guidance would be welcomed. I'm going to make the leap sooooon!!
