My WolfCBI reset.

I purchased my CBI last year and in that time I've come to realize that putting a full yellow gold bezel on my diamond was hiding some of its true nature. It really reflected a lot of the warm gold tones surrounding it, and since I had upgraded color from an I to a G, I was disappointed to see so much warmth reflected.

I’ve been eyeing new settings for a while and decided to reach out to Melissa and Wink to inquire about trying a white metal for the next year, before a hoped for size increase on my 60th birthday. I thought it might help me decide if G is a good color for me to stay at, and if a semi bezel will be more to my liking.

Three resets in three years is a lot, even by PS standards, so they quoted this Stuller setting in both 10K and Continuum Silver. I’m always amazed with their flexibility and willingness to work with a budget challenged client like me, at the same time, providing quality service that makes me feel like an important customer. Thanks Melissa, Wink and Jamie!

Here’s a before and a bunch of after photos. The change is very dramatic to me and I love it!! As everyone here knows, it can take a few tries, or ten, until it all comes together, at least until next year.

Thanks @MissGotRocks! I definitely could be happy with G but I really think I want to get into the DEF range if I can swing it. Large carat size is out of the question but if I can go up a bit in size and get into the colorless range I may be satisfied .

My husband and my son each got an ear pierced last year. I was so happy I could buy him a CBI stud. He never wanted a diamond but now he's a convert and he thinks I'm a diamond expert because, in his words "it's the most beautiful diamond I've ever seen", lol.

@Dancing Fire At your carat weight everything is expensive to upgrade. I could jump to a D for $620 but to jump to a .90 it would cost $4,400 .

Thanks @musicloveranthony! I can’t believe how much better the diamond performs with just some of the girdle exposed. Wish I could find a pronged setting I really liked, to expose it all.
