Hi everyone,
Short story is that I've been looking for a local SoCal jeweler to do my reset. Reading the forums here I commissioned Victor Canera after seeing some of his work here. He's local to me and he hand makes his rings which is important to me. If I ever bang my ring around I know that he's a 10 mile drive from me, plus traffic congestion on the 10Fwy
I started a thread here to pin down some of the options for my ring which surprisingly was the hardest part;

I was looking for a Harry Winston inspired design for my 2 carat stone and the pave there Victor calls "Shallow U-Cut" so that was what I selected for my reset. He also gave me the wonderful idea of making the shank be a little bit graduated. My shank is graduated from 2.1mm to 1.7 on the bottom part of it. This he told me would keep the "heavy shank" syndrome from happening, where the parts that aren't paved seem like they're a lot bulkier on the shank.
Btw. I have to say Victor has been so amazing through this whole process, very soft spoken never judgemental of some ideas that were kind of far out on my part. From the time I placed the order to receiving the ring was about 10 days
Without further ado, here's the glamour shot I got from Victor today of my completed ring. Hand shots to follow later
