I was an avid pricescoper many years ago..fast forward two kiddos, life happenings, 15 years, and I had to come back to share. This is my original ring:
I always knew an upgrade was going to happen at some point given my love of jewelry, but when my husband suggested it in a few months ago on his own, I was completely surprised. We will celebrate 15 years of marriage in May.
I knew I wanted a lot of coverage (DSS is a fact), at least as much finger coverage as my original which included the halo. I was very drawn to OECs and transitionals. I searched pricescope for some reference pictures and experiences with vendors but couldn’t find a whole lot.
I met with a well respected vendor via zoom and arranged an in person meeting a few weeks later, thinking I’d picked my stone.
But then…I was scrolling through IG and the most perfect ring for me came across my feed. I reached out to the vendor and it turns out she lives less than 2 hours away from me. We met the following week at a cafe and confirmed that it was the ring for me. I can’t say exactly why, but I just knew it was the one.
Rachel from Maven Lane Antiques couldn’t have been sweeter or more professional. Never once did I feel pressured and her passion for jewelry was so apparent.
Maybe down the line, I will reset it. But for now, I’m enjoying the yellow gold and how enhances the warmth of the stone.
Thanks you letting me share and maybe my pictures will help someone else on their search.
First pic is a comparison of my original and upgrade.
GIA graded Q-R, 4.2 Ct, VS2, VG cut
4.25 finger size
