My two new stones from Finewater

Guess this is all for now. No more gem shopping spree for a little while. First up a trillion lavender spinel 6.4 x 6.4mm this is going in a v-prong pendant in white gold. its a very brilliant spinel, not as dark as my picture.

And I had Gary cut me a portuguese round Peridot 8mm, its going in the yellow gold bezel LOGR.

I love the cut on that peridot! And I like that setting too......did you upgrade the diamonds, and are they the 1 pointers, or did you have him increase the size?

Thanks Demon! I did not upgrade the diamonds, and I the head size stock was 7.5mm i just had them resize it for me is all, I hope it works out with my peridot, but if not, I have other stones, I'm trying to get into my jeweler on Wednesday to see what he says. and I think it is 1pointer, his site says .08 ctw so I would think so, and it is very close to my jazz bezel band from WF but the bezel on the LOGR is a wee thicker. Its very nice lookin IRL. I won't be wearing next to my bezel band as you can tell the difference in color.

I've got an inexpensive .49 pt P or Q diamond, and I've been thinking about that setting, but I'll want him to change the head to 18k yellow with just 4 prongs, and the rest of the ring in white gold. And of course, smaller for the head. It was really helpful to see it with stones, to sort of see what it would really look like, instead of just his stock photos. Again, love that peridot cut!

Cellantani - yes, I absolutely love the color of the peridot, it looks dark in some spot in the picture but it is very pretty and uniform, it's just like my other concave cut peridot color. I definitely would get a peridot from Gary for sure and have him cut it for you

Congratulations on your purchases. I have that LOGR setting in rose gold, and I just set a lavender spinel in it - I love it.
