I needed to check my ring size and the closest jewelry store to my house is Jared. I decided I would go and check out a comparably priced rock.
WOW- What a rip off! The guy didnt have any ideal cuts--- he said they would be exorbitantly expensive I could only hope for a .6 carat I I1 stone if it was "ideal cut". I checked out their "LEO" brand of diamonds, and while they seemed more sparkly, I was unsure why it was cut to 66 facets... I thought 58 was the "golden mean"
anyway, I am way happier about buying online---- the guy was so slick and I just played dumb. He called SI stones Some internal stones, and when I asked about inclusions, he insisted they werent visible--- whatever
I asked if the I meant Included and he insisted it meant Internal, as in not visible to the eye.
On top of that, their settings were way overpriced and not to my taste. When I kept on asking for a simple tiffany setting, they said that was so plain. They also told me that a 6 prong setting would make my rock look really small??!!
Sighhhhh
