My taste is exceeding our budget... help!

Hey everyone!

The good news: WF is working on a price quote and already found a great center stone (I''m not going to put it up here b/c I''ve seen them get snatched up!) and I should know soon how much it would be to go custom on both settings. Also, Mark from ERD is supposed to contact me today!

The bad news: We want to pay cash for the ring (we''re splitting the cost) and I just found out that I owe most of my ring savings on taxes

.. I can re-save (that''s not a real word, is it) the money over the next 3 months or so, but now that I''ve already contacted all these vendors, I feel kind of stupid telling them we won''t be ready to pay for another few months

Hey...the good news is you are making money...that is why YOU OWE taxes!! Woo Hoo! Ok...well...It is my lame attempt to try to fuse something positive into this saga. It really is an optimistic way of looking at it. Silver lining and drinking glass levels and all that...right?

I am so sorry. Life is frustrating. Just wanted to post something...have no answers for you...just support.

DKS: I suppose that''s true.. the guy that was doing my tax return kept saying, "well at least you made about $10,000 more than you did last year!" (he also kept telling me that I would be in a better tax bracket if I would get married, and this made me want to kick him in the shins). Which is true, but last year I also got a really decent return thanks to Hope Credits for being a student. It''s frustrating to think that I saved that money for this and now I have to almost start over. Again, I''m pretty sure I can have it within the next few months, but I was ready to buy NOW! LOL
