Love the spinel toi et moi! I was so tempted to pair my gray with a pink.

Would also love setting ideas for that first loose opal! I think its size and shape is more suited for pendants but that’s as far as I got.

I myself prefer the look of white opals to black and your most recent acquisitions are positively lovely! I would probably go with a pendant whose style matches the ring, they’ll make a wonderful set together.

Thank you Avondale! White opals are so beautiful but so hard to photograph. You know what, I never really considered the idea of a set, could be a great direction.

Newest project:) There was some back and forth in the process but I loved the end result. The stone is a mahenge (but not one of the iconic juicy ones, obviously). It’s not very sunny today so probably not the most flattery picture.

Isn't that just lovely... is it a swallowtail or dove? The spinel is a yummy bubblegum shade. Love it!!

Did you design that?! It's so pretty! Pin or pendant?

Thank you! It’s a pendant. I had some specific images and found some inspiration photos, and the jeweler did the rest!

It's fantastic, I love birds in jewelry. And spinels. Together? Win!

Another opal ring! The first one beside a sunny window and the others indoor in artificial light (just to show the setting).
The color of the stone reminded me of Monat’s water lilies so the setting inspiration is the flexible stem of water plants.

I love the design. Safe standard settings are so common. (Guilty as charged, M'lud). But you have taken a concept and made it work. It's nouveau-like, but not an imitation of nouveau. Great work!

The opal is beautiful too (it really does suggest Monet's waterlilies), and unusually deep.

Thank you! I am no real designer so I just decide on a concept and mishmash details from inspiration pics. And this one isn't hard to decide at all concept-wise!
I think a big reason of why I got the opal is because how deep the color layer is, and I've always wanted to play with a setting where you get to see color from the side like a lattice window.

Never had a thing for cat’s eye until this design caught my eye. But after I got one I’ve been loving how you can play with the light. The halo is Moissanite and the small stones on each end of the columns are sapphires.

Fascinating design. It has a 60's to 70's vibe. It is from that period, or later? Do you know more about it?

The jeweler said it’s one of their designs but they were going for a vintage look. I really like it!

I seriously need to take a break for my wallet’s sake. Couldn’t help it with some of these cheaper stones though… This small white opal I really love, the real thing looks a lot redder. And the other is blackish grey and pink spinel.

Can I ask who did the setting for the spinel 2 stone? It's so slick!

Of course, but unfortunately I don’t know the name of the person who did the actual job. The vendor is called JackGem, they sell stones and have jewelers that do custom projects. I think they only accept their own stones though, and not sure if they sell international. Hope this helps!

Couldn’t stop looking at my hand, emeralds are so glowy! I hesitated a long time because of the oil and vulnerableness, but it is truly mesmerizing in person… Here’s a comparison shot between emerald, green sapphire and tsavorite/merelani. (I still love green sapphire, don’t get me wrong:D)
