you can''t really tell in the pics, but the prongs are split into 3.. it looks like a "W".. i had never seen it before. i have seen the split V only. does anyone know what that type of prong is called? not really sure why it was made that way.. but i like that it looks like tiny beads from the top and minimizes the look/feel of the metal. the only thing is that i have to pull out tiny threads every once in a while. is that normal with prongs? or should that not happen ever?
nrayan, i can't answer your other question about the 'w' prongs. I noticed that and think it looks neat, and the only thing I can guess is it protects the corners of your princess, since they seem to be smaller prongs. My (single) prongs are a little larger and cover the entire corner and mine is a princess cut as well, so...maybe this is why? [see below] (I hope someone else who knows something will see the question(s) and chime in) But, i can say i have single prongs and YES, threads and hairs get caught in it...LOL. It's pretty normal...
ETA: Oh. I forgot to comment on the ring itself..it is STUNNING!! I love the halo and the half (or is that considered more than half? Like 3/4?) eternity and I'm loving those TWO bands!! WOW...you lucky girl. Eventually I'll want two, just like you...one to sit on each side..but that'll be a long time coming..LOL. I also want to say I'm jealous of your hands and long, beautiful fingers. Mine are stubby and fat...LOL.
newsboysgrl777 - thanks for letting me know that''s normal about the threads getting caught.. i get so worried its gonna snag something and bend/break the prong. i just try to be really careful. thanks for the compliment about my fingers! lol... for some reason my baby fat never went away only in my hands so its funny you say that. and i am a size 6.75 which seems enormous compared to all the tiny little ring sizes i see on this site. so i definitely appreciate the compliment
