My NEW new rings - WF Tiffany Knife Edge Solitaire with Elaineh inspired modifications

I recently purchased a new ering and wband following a girdle chip in my original ering (thank goodness for insurance!) I purchased from BlueNile originally (you can see those details on this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-rings.62583/ ). Well, indecisive me started having second thoughts about it all and I decided to return everything and go with different vendors. And can I say I am SO glad I did! Here''s the NEW new ring.

The ering and stone were purchased from Whiteflash. WOW, can I just tell you that they are WONDERFUL to work with. Celina, my salesperson, was awesome. They thoroughly checked out this stone and recommend it and I''m so happy it worked out! And Vera is a doll. I''m VERY happy with the ring----the setting is a modified version of their tiffany knife edge solitaire. Elaineh from this board recently had WF modify this setting for her and when I saw her results I knew it was what I wanted. This setting is a million times more beautiful than the 6 prong solitaire I had received from BN. And this stone, although quite a dip in color, is just GORGEOUS! Performs MUCH better than the other diamond I had. I''m very happy, and excited about a future in "upgrades" with WF!!!!!!!!!!!

These pics were taken with just my little 2mm plat band. I purchased it before I got this knife edge setting.......hopefully I''ll be able to get the WF knife edge band one of these days to have a better matching plain band. Not that I''m suffering.....my new eternity band, 1.6 ctw shared prong is scheduled to arrive tomorrow from Signed Pieces! They were wonderful to work with as well!!! I''ll post pics of it all together when I get it.

it is, but it''s constructed differently. my shank doesn''t rise up in the center and the head doesn''t have the metal peice under it (donut the right term?) my head is sunken into the band so it sits lower than this one. the head though is very similiar.

woobug02, the ring I had from BN was their platinum 6 prong solitaire. It is not a "tiffany" replica, just your very standard 6 prong. I called WF and told them just to make my setting like Elaineh''s and they didn''t bat an eye. They were very accomodating.

Jcrow, what a nice compliment! Your setting is just perfect I think. I sent WF a pic of yours and asked about having it done, but it was going to be more expensive than this one being that it is all custom. When I found out they were willing to do these modifications to their knife edge for no additional charge, I went with it because the tiffany replica was always what I had in mind. It is a really great solitaire setting IMO. It''s very comfortable, too. I read concerns over knife edge being uncomfortable, but I think it''s just fine. Then again, I got used to a 1.85 ctw shared prong eternity band....now eternity bands aren''t exactly the definition of comfort. But very worth the sacrifice for the look I think.

When I ordered the 6 prong solitaire from BN I thought it would be "close enough" to this look. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Very different. I''m so glad I changed.
