In the 23 years I've worn it the ring got damaged twice: once I picked up a bucket of golf balls and the bottom of the shank cleaning snapped, probably exactly where it was originally sized. The second was per this thread. As folks know I wear it 24/7 and it still looks perfect even after these 2 boo boos.

Whew! I know that has to be a relief.
I once broke a prong on my erring, same setting, even. I was so glad the stone was still secure and even more so when it was fixed and back home on my hand.
