My Cushion! At Last!

Yay, I finally figured out how to take pictures of my stone with the digital camera. (And just in time too--I took these at work about an hour before dropping the stone off to be set. I won''t see it again for weeks and weeks and weeks!

)

In any event I''m going to insert the obligatory "the pics don''t do it justice"/"I''m a horrid photographer" disclaimer here--I discovered that it is NOT EASY to capture good pics of a stone, especially in flourescent law firm lighting.

sigh. you''re going to have to trust me that it''s be-you-tee-ful.

i am so flattered by all of your compliments, thank you.

i swear the stone is not actually blue, though. can't figure out why it looks that way . . . my bess guess is the yucky flourescent office lighting.

as i said we could not have picked it out without all of your help.

see, i know you all thought that i had really big ears and was covered in brown and white fur, but i'm not.

hi VAgal--the setting i chose is below. (it will look a little different with my stone cause it's a different shape than the one shown there.) i love it--it really doesn't look like so "busy" in person.

you're totally right alexah, it's killing me to give it up! 6 WEEKS!

Yowza! What a lovely stone. I just saw a 1.4ct cushion in my local jewelers yesterday and it was gorgeous but yours was picked after a very rigourous searching so I can imagine that it must look tons better. And the pictures! Goodness me.
