Earlier this year I posted about a high colour 2.1 OEC that I scored from Sincityfinds: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/opinions-setting-this-delicious-2-1-ct-o-p-oec.266159/
I went through so many iterations of what I wanted and finally put together a design for a right hand ring with a local jeweller. It is based on a sketch I made with some of the scallop details and engraving pulled from photos from Alex from parksfinegroup and my jeweller’s portfolio. I had some unworn yellow gold jewelry passed down from my mom and grandma melted down to cast the ring. It was a mix of 14/18/22k gold jewelry and the ring is 14k.
I gave him lots of time to work on this ring (he was swamped with last minute weddings in the summer as restrictions were lifted) and 7 months later, here it is!
The scalloped details on the sides of the shank and gallery of the ring are supposed to go along with the wave-like engraving on the top of the shank.
The faux bezel turned out a bit chunkier than I had intended, I OK’ed the mold but it just looks a bit more in your face when actually cast! I’m used to more dainty rings but wanted this to look obviously less like an engagement ring.
The diamond looks amazingly white against the yellow gold. My jeweller was quite impressed with the cut and quality of the diamond.

edited my post to correct some details!
