My Blingathon Pick me Up at Joe Escobar

It probably won't be done till New Years :(... I waffled a little to long on deciding between all plat... rose gold... and then a two tone. BAH.

Gorgeous pieces Gypsy, thanks for sharing! My favorite are the rose cut pear diamond earrings      Just WOW! And I love the antique cushion ring!

Gypsy! Thank you for the eye candy

I absolutely love love that rose cut flower pendant... In fact dreaming of how it would look on me :Up_to_something:

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. The earrings were my favorite!

Hi Everyone.

Claire, I knew you'd been in and that you found your stone but I didn't realize the Mimi and SS had gone in with you! That must have been fun-- I can't wait to see SS's ring once it's all gussied up and re-shanked!

Swingirl, Erik really is just best-- so outgoing and upbeat and you can tell he loves his job! Makes the experience that much better.

D&T -- it was very pretty and dainty. I don't remember the exact price. They do it in white and yellow and pink though. Maybe it's on the website? Ahh I just looked, if it's the same size as the one listed it's 2,000.

Sarahbear, I don't remember at all honey, sorry! If you wanted to inquire you can always just call and ask. They were the only rosecut earrings I tried on so he'll probably remember.

Yenny... yup, always nice to see how the other half lives.

Pheonix, yes I actually *DO* know you don't have a 5 carat RB, but I KNOW that if you could find the right one at the right price you would be ALL OVER IT. ;))

Skippy, they really are! They are so down to earth and enjoy sharing all the goodies. Very generous.

pregcurious, LOL. When I was planning on posting this in Hangout, I knew the regulars would take my word for it, but since I decided that RT was the right location... since I tried on a bunch of settings and that's much more an RT topic... I knew there would be newbies and I didn't want them to think I had lost my mind. LOL. I just sold SO MUCH of my yellow gold off, and I'm right here with you loving the warmer metals again. I think that maybe I didn't like the YG pieces I had and that in order to love it, it has to be the right design, kwim?

Looks like an awesome trip! Such good bling.

I was actually at Joe Escobar last week! I was quite surprised because the sales personnel were essentially ignored me. I was quite surprised! Anyway, I left thinking I'd not go back, but your experience has changed that!

They aren't pushy so they don't approach. I just walk in and say, "Hi is Erik here?" if he is he comes out. I've never NOT had him there but his wife works there too, if I wasn't able to catch him I'd ask for her. I've been helped by the Owner as well, he was very nice too.

Oh, what a very fun trip!!! :appl: Thanks for sharing pics of these gorgeous pieces!!!

Wow. Wow, wow, WOW. What a blingalicious trip!

thank you!! That was fun! :appl:

I fell in love with the first setting!!! Beautiful. :wavey:

Wow, great bling! I am not sure that would make me feel better during a tough week. I think I might be a tad depressed that I couldn't bringit all home with me!

I love the little rose cut flower pendant!

What fun! Glad you got a pick-me-up! :appl:

I love that first setting you posted. Just, WOW. Also, that 6 mm PC looks huge! There really is a lot of surface area in those corners!

I agree, it has to be the correct style, just like with white metals. To me, yellow gold looks best when the warmth and softness is brought out, instead of the brassy/shiny character of the metal, if that makes sense.
Have you seen ABGFs YG thread?
