OK here''s the recap. I started my ps journey in January. My husband and I decided to upgrade my my e-ring to a 3 stone ring. We wanted to us my original diamond as a side stone. It was a 1.01 ct G/SI1 eyeclean stone. The problem I learned from ps is that is was deep. On the suggestion of people on ps I took my stone to Brian Gavin for a recut. He was hoping to keep the stone at the .9 ct mark but was unable to achieve an ideal cut at the weight. He transformed her into .85 ct beauty who now shows off some pretty hearts! Next he matched a H&A .815 ct G/VS1 for the sidestone. We finally went in to look at center stones. I really had budgeted a 1.5 G stone. However I quickly learned I liked the proportions better with a 1.7 ct stone. Luckily I found out I am not very color sensitive (good new for future projects). We chose the 1.7 ct H&A I/SI1 eyeclean stone I had posted earlier for you all to review.
It was set in BGD truth head setting, platinum, size 5.5.
I have to say I LOVE it!!!!! I cannot believe the finger coverage, to think 1 side stone is what I used to have. I feel very blessed to be able to own this ring.
Last one I promise. I am just so excited and know I won''t be posting any other purchases for a LONG time. Specs on my other beauty: 4 year old blue/cream ragdoll Roxy
Now that you have it in person and can see it in lots of lighting, what do you think about the color of the center compared to the sides? I would love to know that there is no discernable difference
