My bananas cute little Russian emerald

I just got this completely untreated little emerald from Yvonne. It's Russian in origin. It's truly the purest green that I have ever seen. It has a Portuguese cut that honestly feels like it's a precision cut. I always thought blue green Colombian emeralds are my absolute favorite, but this little Russian emerald is giving my Colombian emeralds a rush for their money. I'm not sure if I'm most obsessed with - the clarity, the precision cutting, or the color. I think if I could have everything I ever wanted in an emerald, I would get the clarity, precision cutting, and a blue green Colombian… but this is pretty close to being perfect and I adore it. This is actually my second precision cut emerald. I had one from Gene years ago, a tiny glowy Brazilian Emerald that was just stunning, but sadly I've lost it.

Side question: does anyone know of any precision cutters willing to take on an emerald recut? Not for this stone, but for others. I'm truly shocked at how obsessed I am with the amazing cut on this emerald, and it makes me think that I might want to buy a little Colombian emerald on my own and get it re-cut.

It’s gorgeous. Supposedly the emeralds in my vintage ring, inherited, are Russian as well. They are somewhat different to my Columbian emerald in hue.
